Special Avalanche Warning - Feb 15-19
The weather is great and the avalanche hazard is starting to moderate. Don’t be fooled though. A blue sky weekend following a big storm is a recipe for an avalanche involvement.
Watch the slopes as a couple layers of surface hoar (frost) are still reactive.
Below is a picture of the frost crystals that are causing all the commotion out there.
