Meeting Time: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Staging area: Hasler Road staging area
Directions: Travel west of Chetwynd on Highway 97 for 25 km to Hasler Road. There will be signs for ‘Spectra Energy’ and the ‘Pine River Gas Plant’. Turn left (south) off the highway. Follow the main road through the residential area of Hasler and across an uncontrolled railway crossing. Continue 9 km and take the right fork, up the hill. Continue past a gas plant to Kilometer 45 to a plowed parking area. Give yourself 60-70 minutes to travel from Chetwynd to the staging area. This is a radio controlled road with logging and plant traffic. Take caution!
Following the classroom, students provide their own snowmobile to participate in eight hours of hands-on field exercises.

*PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT THE FIELD SESSION, PLEASE READ THE RESCUE RESOURCES ARTICLE AND COMPLETE THE APPLICABLE FIELDS IN THE SAMPLE 2 PAGE TRIP PLAN. This exercise should/could be completed with your riding group.
